Jolly Jamboree


Join us for our second annual Jolly Jamboree! Throughout December we will explore, create, and play together, and celebrate the holiday season and our amazing community. Come together at the Trailhead and find your joy!

We have all kinds of fun for you to choose from. Come to one, come to all!

All events are at the Trailhead Children’s Museum unless otherwise noted. All events are included in regular museum admission unless otherwise noted. 

  • December 6th:

    • Trailhead Silent Auction kickoff! Bid on unique and creative gifts in person at the Trailhead from December 6 - 21st. Find the perfect gift for adults and kids alike, and support the Trailhead!

    • Food Drive for the Gunnison Country Pantry, Dec. 6-14th • bring non perishable items to the Trailhead and get a Trailhead Swag Bag as a special thank you! 

    • 4-7 pm, Elk Ave 300 Block, WinterGlow • Find us at WinterGlow with s’mores and warm up at the fire! Explore other community organizations and stay for the community tree lighting at 6 pm. 

  • December 7th

    • 10 am - 4pm • Hot Coco Bar at the Trailhead!

    • 1pm • Holiday Art Hour • Join us for a Snowflake Takeover in the Art Bar! Explore snowflake art invitations, and take your snowflake art to the next level.

  • December 9th

    • MUSEUM OPEN 9am - 1pm, Colorado Gives Day • Join us for Free Museum Admission & Coffee! COGives is a statewide giving moment for the causes you care the most about. Every donation made on December 9th will be INCREASED by COGives and their sponsor FirstBank. To celebrate, join us for special museum hours and morning treats! 

  • December 11th:

    • 11am • Holiday Trailhead Tales: Join us for a special holiday storytime!

  • December 13th

    • Skier Drop Off is HERE! Join us for Skier Drop Off - a special time for kids to come and explore, create, and play while grown ups enjoy a morning on the slopes (or anywhere!). Registration coming soon!

    • 4-7 pm, Mountaineer Square, Mt. CB, Light Up the Night • Find the Trailhead Pop Up Art Bar table inside Bar Above, and enjoy the FREE tree lighting festivities in Mt. CB.

  • December 14th

    • Jolly Jamboree Bake Sale @ the Club at Crested Butte: scoop some special treats on your way to the chairlift.

    • Decoration Creation Station: Stay tuned for an elevated art workshop with our Trailhead art teachers. 

    • Last day of the Food Drive!

  • December 15th

    • 5-8 pm, Ornament Decorating at Montanya Distillery • Join for some adult crafts, cocktails, and community. A portion of sales will benefit the Trailhead! Reserve your spot at montanyarum.com

  • December 18th

    • 11am Join special guest, Santa Paws for Trailhead Tales storytime!

  • December 20th

    • 10am - 4pm, Candyland Christmas Cardboard Construction • Help us build a giant, immersive world of gingerbread homes and candy cane lanes out of cardboard creations!

  • December 21st

    • JOLLY JAMBOREE FINALE! Join us for a fun filled day at the Trailhead. Stay tuned for updated times. 

    • Candyland Christmas Cardboard Construction CONTINUED! Help us build a giant, immersive world of gingerbread homes and candy cane lanes out of cardboard creations!

    • EPIC Hot Coco: Enjoy the hot coco bar of your dreams. 

    • Karaoke Caroling: Let your holiday talents shine. We will karaoke at the Trailhead and maybe even grace some of our neighbors’ ears with our joyful noise. 

    • Santa Hat Style: Decorate your very own Santa Hat and show us your take on the big man’s style!
